Meet Coach Ben!

My name is Ben Prohl.
I am very excited to be back in Indiana and coaching at Jody’s. I was born and raised in Indianapolis before moving to Ohio where I went to high school and college. I received my bachelor’s in psychology but decided to make coaching gymnastics my career.
I started gymnastics at the age of 16 and competed for my high school, Worthington Kilbourne. I have been coaching gymnastics for 17 years, and coaching has been my career for the past 11.
While my primary focus has been girl’s gymnastics, I have coached boy’s teams, cheer leading squads, sports acrobatic gymnastics, and Special Olympics. I have coached girls’ levels up to level 10, some of which have competed in college and earned scholarships. I do take a lot of pride in helping each gymnast reach her potential, whether it is level 10, 9, 8, or any level.
I have also recently become active in the T.O.P. program and this past summer took 3 gymnasts down to the Ranch in Texas for National T.O.P. team tryouts. One girl did make the B team.
Most recently I worked in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at All American Gymnastics Academy. While in South Dakota, I served as both the state Women’s' Program Chair and as the state’s T.O.P. chair.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and to helping your daughters not only succeed in this sport but to excel!
